Welcome to Amish Handcrafted, creators of high quality handcrafted wooden chests. After spending a summer working with an Amish furniture company, Joshua Stoltzfus learned the ins and outs of manufacturing wooden chests. He soon realized the lack of availability of quality wooden chests, and he and his wife decided to launch their own online retail business specializing in wooden chests and trunks. In 2008, Josh and his wife Steph established their own business selling handcrafted chests and trunks. Today, Josh and his wife Steph, along with their 3 children, make their home in the beautiful rolling hills of Pennsylvania, and they strive to offer you the highest quality wooden chests and best service that you can find!

Here at Amish Handcrafted, each of our wooden chests and trunks are handcrafted at a small Amish furniture company in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by a team of 4-5 Amish craftsmen. Each wooden chest is handmade to ensure quality and to provide you with a durable wooden chest that will last for generations.
We believe in providing the highest quality products that we can. Each of our wooden chests and trunks that we make are built to order. We know that everyone has different likes and dislikes, so we allow our customers to customize their vintage chests to fit their style and taste. We also know that you want your wooden chest to be used for many generations, and so our expert Amish craftsmen ensure that each wooden chest is built to stand the test of time. Crafted out of solid wood, each chest is designed to last for generations, and become the next valued family heirloom.
The Amish Handcrafted Process
Step 1: Design Your Chest
Find the perfect style chest that fits your personality and style. From endless options of wood types, stain colors, sizes, and extra accessories, you can custom design a wooden chest or trunk that will complement the rest of your indoor décor.
Step 2: Order Confirmation
After you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email immediately. In approximately 3-4 business days, you will also receive an email from Josh giving you an update on when your wooden chest will be completed and the estimated shipping date.
Step 3: The Construction
Here at Amish Handcrafted, you will be guaranteed a wooden chest or trunk that is made with quality hardwood (no particleboard or cheap plywood). Our skilled Amish craftsman will construct your wooden chest with care and precision ensuring that your chest will be able to stand the test of time.
Step 4: Delivery Time
* Due to exceptionally high demand the wait time between ordering and delivery is currently much longer than usual. All new orders will immediately be placed on our shop schedule which is booked for several months in advance at the moment. Thank you for understanding!
Regardless of how you order your wooden chests, each chest will be delivered via UPS freight. This means that your chest will not be delivered until UPS freight has contacted you and scheduled a delivery time for your chest. Also, each package is fully insured to cover any unusual damage done to your chest during transit.

Once your package arrives, the rest is pure enjoyment. Simply unpack your chest, place it at its desired location, store your belongings inside, and enjoy for years to come! And who knows, maybe someday your grandchildren will be using that very chest to store their own precious belongings.
