My wife and I ordered this item for my son's girlfriend for her 18th birthday. We chose the black cherry with cedar lining. I asked Josh if he could get it here by 12/18. It arrived an hour ago and it's the 15th. Words are inadequate to describe the beauty and craftsmanship of this fine piece of furniture. Every thing about this item is perfection! Even the packaging was professionally done. The chest is flawless! This quality and attention to detail is seldom seen in hand made items any more. Manhatten Waterfall Chest
I bought this hope chest for my Granddaughter's 16th birthday. I am so excited, the chest is beautiful, the quality is well worth the money and she absolutely loves it. I will definately be ordering again since I have many more Grand Daughters who will be growing up. It is simply more beautiful than the picture. I couldn't have ask for more and the smell of cedar is wonderful. I also love the casters on the chest, which make it easy to move. My chest is 50 years old and I wish I had the casters on my chest. Very Well Built, Beautiful Chest
Chest arrived way ahead of promise date. Packaging was very good and very well protected. It looked well made and beautiful right out of the packaging. Wheels were nice to move into position. This will be used in our family room to house our comforters and other blankets that we want to keep away from the cat.

What a BEAUTIFUL piece of furniture !! Smells homemade, the wood is shiny, doves/heart design is etched impeccable, the slide tray is a handsome ole-fashioned addition, and the engraving plate is so clearly engraved and gives the finest touch. I LOVE IT !!

I ordered the Manhatten medium waterfall chest in Acres Cherry, cedar slide tray, cedar lining, dovetail joints, Dutch bird front design, and old world distressing. The custom engraved name plate has mine and my husband's names and our wedding date. I am very happy with my choice. My son helped me take the chest out of the shipping box (which was extremely well protected). My son said over and over again "this is well made, very well made"! Josh was very helpful on the phone and thru email. Before I ordered the chest, I went to several web sites and read reviews and decided to order thru Amish Handcrafted and I am very happy I did.
